«Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) is pleased to announce its Scientific Seminar Series on June 25th, in the ULisboa Great Hall, under the theme “Current and Future Impact of Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace”.

With the growing presence of digital technologies in our daily lives, AI is emerging as a transformative force that is revolutionising the way we work, communicate and interact. This event will serve as a space for interdisciplinary dialogue, discussing the multifaceted implications of AI at work. While embracing the opportunities provided by AI, it is essential to consider its ethical, social and economic consequences. Issues such as the impact on education, employment, governance and society will be addressed, including the need for changes in educational policies, the preparation of graduates for the job market and the human role in the future of work.

Various perspectives on the use of AI in various professional areas will be debated, from the arts to technologies, including its consequences for innovation and ethical challenges. Through an opening conference, a panel discussion and an interactive session, these seminar series aim to promote debate in a world where AI drives progress, promotes well-being and increases efficiency, while simultaneously seeking to guarantee inclusive and sustainable development.’

Participation in this event is free but registration is mandatory.

The Universidade de Lisboa/Caixa Geral de Depósitos Scientific Awards will be delivered at the end of the event.»
