«ElectroDay is an outreach initiative by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) to promote the study programmes (LEEC, LEAero, LEE, and LETI), research centers, and students’ organisations affiliated with the department.

On 5 July, starting at 2 p.m., Electro Day returns to Técnico Innovation Center powered by Fidelidade, to host the ElectroCap Demo Day, where 172 undergraduate finalists in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering will showcase their projects.

Inspired by international best practices, ElectroCap challenges teams to use technology and collaboration to tackle social issues. In this edition, teams of six students identified 30 relevant problems and developed 30 complete projects: a functional prototype, poster, video, website, and pitch deck.

The programme includes thematic panels, talks, and the presentation of three awards:

Investment Award, decided by public vote

In the inaugural 2024 edition, we welcomed over 1,000 visitors — families, friends, former teachers, and members of the public — exceeding all expectations.»
