«JUNITEC – Junior Enterprises at Instituto Superior Técnico will organise Unicorn Day 2025, one of the largest Demo Days in Portugal, dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship and investment.

The event will take place on 16 June 2025 and will feature pitches from university startups and spin-offs, showcase moments, product demonstration stands and various networking opportunities with founders, CEOs, investors and entrepreneurs. Organisations such as Portugal Ventures, Armilar Venture Partners, Dengun, Faber and Shilling VC, among others, have already confirmed their presence.

Unicorn Day brings together startups and spin-offs at different stages of growth with investors, companies and talents from the ecosystem. The last edition was attended by 28 startups, more than 20 investors and more than 250 participants, representing an investment of more than 15 million euros. In 2025, we want to take the event even further – and we’re counting on you to make it memorable.

The event is also supported by Microsoft, Unicorn Factory Lisboa, Axians, the Católica Entrepreneurship Centre and Build Up Labs. This year, two startups or spin-offs will be honoured with a three-month incubation period and three months of structured support from Build Up Labs.

Unicorn Day is the meeting point for talented students and entrepreneurs, emerging startups and key companies in the ecosystem. It’s also an excellent opportunity for visibility, recruitment and investment.”
