«This unique, hands-on event invites Técnico students to explore how art and design can bring new life to scientific and technological ideas. Across two creative sessions, participants will be guided through the stages of conceptualization and creation, culminating in a public exhibition of their work.
Session 1: Tuesday, 14 May – Conceptualisation & Design

Session 2: Wednesday, 15 de maio – Creation Process

Meet the Artists & Mentors
- Elena SV Flys – Head of the Research Department at TAI University Center of the Arts in Madrid, where she also lectures in arts management, research methods, and business administration. A specialist in creative thinking and co-creation processes, her academic and professional work focuses on fostering innovative environments within the cultural and organizational sectors. Her research explores topics such as accessibility to the arts, audience reception, artistic co-creation, and social integration—areas in which she has presented at national and international conferences, published various articles, and led research projects.
- Paola de Diego – Visual artist, multidisciplinary creator, set designer, and costume and fashion designer. She holds degrees in Garment Pattern Design and Set Design from RESAD, as well as a Master’s in Research in Art and Creation from UCM, where she is currently pursuing her PhD. Since 2012, she has been involved in scenic and costume design for theatre, dance, and audiovisual projects, with notable work at the Centro Dramático Nacional, CNTC, Teatro de la Abadía, Teatros del Canal, and Eurovision 2023. She has been a university lecturer since 2019 and has directed the Diploma in Fashion and Costume Design at TAI since 2023.
- Antonia Muñiz (Noni Lazaga) – Multidisciplinary artist and Associate Professor at UNIR (International University of La Rioja) in the visual arts department of the Faculty of Education. As an artist, she has created international collaborative projects with institutions such as the Cervantes Institute and AECID. As a professor and researcher, she teaches innovation and art-based approaches in the Master’s program in teaching training. She is the principal investigator in an interdisciplinary research project focusing on arts, science, technology, and society, particularly around sustainable cities and communities at UNIR. She also participated as a teacher trainer for the Spanish team in the project “Fostering Students’ Creativity and Critical Thinking: What It Means in the School” at the Comunidad de Madrid and OECD/CERI (Centre for Educational Research and Innovation).
