«The Tuna Universitária do Instituto Superior Técnico (TUIST)  is pleased to announce the XXIV TUIST: “Cidade de Lisboa” – “Tunas” Festival, one of the most anticipated moments of the Lisbon academic year,  on 21 and 22 February, in Aula Magna.

On the first night, the event starts at 9 p.m. and will feature two guest non-competing “tunas” – the Tuna Académica do Liceu de Évora (TAE) and the Tuna Feminina do Instituto Superior Técnico (TFIST) – as well as two highly anticipated competing “tunas”, the Tuna de Medicina da Universidade de Coimbra (TMUC) and the Tuna Académica da Universidade da Beira Interior (Desertuna). The evening promises an unforgettable show filled with outstanding musical quality.

On Saturday night, 22 February, also at 9 p.m., the competition heats up even more. The evening will feature performances by the Tuna da Universidade do Minho (Azeituna), the Tuna Académica do Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo (Hinoportuna), and the winner of the previous edition, the Tuna Universitária do Minho (TUM).

This eclectic competition, with representatives from various regions of the country, promises to be a unique celebration of Portugal’s academic musical culture.

The XXIV TUIST is supported by Lisbon City Council, Universidade de Lisboa, Instituto Superior Técnico, Técnico Students’ Union, Areeiro Parish Council and Alvalade Paris Council, among other organisations and institutions.
