«The MOOC “Machine learning, Maths & Ethics: Hands-on” is now at its 4th edition, the previous ones having totalled around 1000 participants. This hands-on course teaches you about the foundations of Machine Learning in an intuitive way. With a heavy focus on exercises and examples, this course allows you to develop practical machine learning skills, while stimulating your critical thinking on the ethics of machine learning models.
This MOOC was developed within the Erasmus+ FOSTWOM project aiming to promote full and equal access for young women in STEM. We expect this MOOC to be a meaningful learning opportunity to empower young people, especially young women to follow these areas of expertise.
Materials and certification:
• The course is free and takes place entirely online;
• The contents are always open and participants take the course at their own pace;
• The Certificate of Accomplishment will be released to anyone who successfully completed the course by achieving 60% of the assessment activities;
• The course materials will remain available to all registered users after the end of this edition, so that they can return to the content at a later date;
• All texts and subtitles of the videos included in the MOOC are provided in both English and Portuguese.
