Instituto Superior Técnico announces the launch of the 9th edition of Lab2Market@Técnico, an innovative programme designed to enable professors, researchers and PhD and Master’s students to explore the market potential of their ideas and projects.
What is Lab2Market@Técnico?
This immersive, free and dynamic programme aims to help participants turn research and innovative ideas into applicable solutions, contributing to the creation of value and impact on society. During the programme, participants will have access to:
- Specialised workshops on entrepreneurship, business models, market validation and communication;
- Personalised mentoring with experts and entrepreneurs;
- Networking with other teams of entrepreneurs and the innovation ecosystem.
Launching session
The 2025 edition kicks off on 21 January at 2.30 p.m. with a launch session at the Civil Engineering Museum of Instituto Superior Técnico. This event will be attended by former participants who will share their experiences and success stories, inspiring future innovators.

Who can take part in Lab2Market@Técnico?
Lab2Market@Técnico is open to teams of professors, researchers, doctoral and master’s students with innovative ideas and research in technological or scientific areas who want to obtain training and explore the applicability of their technologies in the market.
A programme with impact and prizes
In addition to the knowledge gained and networking opportunities, the best team in the programme will be awarded the António Brandão de Vasconcelos prize, worth €3,500, reinforcing the incentive to turn ideas into impactful projects.
