Call for Doctoral Research Grants in Engineering

Deadline for applications: 27th April 2023.

The Consortium of Engineering Schools (CEE) has an open call for ten Doctoral Research Grants in the following areas: Industrial Engineering and Management, Chemical Engineering, and Chemical and Biological Engineering.

These scholarships are aimed at national citizens of Portuguese-speaking African countries or East Timor who wish to conduct research in one of the Schools of Engineering of the Portuguese member universities of the CEE (Instituto Superior Técnico, Faculty of Engineering – University of Porto, School of Engineering – University of Minho, University of Aveiro, NOVA School of Sciences and Technology – NOVA University Lisbon, and Faculty of Sciences and Technology – University of Coimbra).

About the Consortium of Engineering Schools.

Six of the main Portuguese Engineering Schools are joining forces to promote the reinforcement of training and recruitment of PhD researchers from Portuguese-speaking countries. In a joint strategy – and focusing for the time being on Portuguese-speaking countries – the creation of the Consortium of Engineering Schools was formalised in 2019.

The consortium is made up of Instituto Superior Técnico, Faculty of Engineering – University of Porto, Faculty of Science and Technology – University of Coimbra, School of Engineering – University of Minho, NOVA School of Sciences and Technology – NOVA University Lisbon and University of Aveiro. The collaboration assumes common lines of action in several domains, namely in the contribution to excellence in teaching, research and innovation.
