The book “Overall Aspects of Non-Traditional Glasses: Synthesis, Properties and Applications”, edited by M. Clara Gonçalves (professor at DEQ, Técnico) and H. Cristina Vasconcelos, was published internationally by Bentham Science.
This is a book that brings together contributions from national and international experts, on non-traditional glasses, which was received with great enthusiasm by the experts in this field.
M. Clara Gonçalves and Fernanda Margarido had previously edited the book “Materials for Construction and Civil Engineering: Science, Processing, and Design”, published by Springer in 2015.
“This book represents an important contribution to the specialized literature in the field of Glass Science. With its broad scope and variety of topics covered, the book will be beneficial for advanced students, researchers and professionals working in the broad areas of glass science and technology.”
Aldo R. Boccaccini – Head of Institute of Biomaterials, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Erlangen, Germany, and Editor-in-Chief, Materials Letters
“I strongly recommend this book to all young and older scientists interested in field of Glass Materials. It is one of the rare books covering all functional glasses and their present applications in just 7 chapters. It, therefore, offers a valuable update of the state of our knowledge in this field.”
Michel A. Aegerter – Editor-in Chief, Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology
