The 36th edition of the Chemical Engineering Seminar Series brought together about 400 participants, from 13th to 17th March, at Alameda Campus. The event was organised by 27 Chemical Engineering students and included 25 national and international speakers and 16 partner companies.

The event included lectures and workshops on various topics, which provided students with the chance to contact representatives of the “professional world” and show “the different options after graduation”, explains Ricardo Delgado, the coordinator of the event. Chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industries were some topics highlighted.

The development of hard and soft skills for both academic and professional life was not forgotten either.

This year’s edition, the second in-person event since the covid-19 pandemic, had more participants than last year’s, so the team have every reason to be satisfied and proud, says the student.
