JUNITEC is the Most Entrepreneurial Junior Enterprise in Europe

JUNITEC is the Most Entrepreneurial Junior Enterprise in Europe, according to the Junior Enterprises Europe. The award was delivered last week, at the JEE Winter Conference held in Brussels. “This award was not a surprise, it was another confirmation that the quality of our work is on par with Europe, we just needed to prove it. Now, it’s up to future mandates to maintain this quality standard”, says Eduarda Vaz, coordinator of JUNITEC marketing department and the team spokesperson.

While JUNITEC’s victory was announced in Belgium, TecStorm, a tech competition organised by JUNITEC, was running in Portugal. “The messages and calls we received from the team after the announcement of the victory were charged with emotion and contentment”, recalls Eduarda Vaz.

“JUNITEC is the only junior enterprise in Portugal that has an Acceleration Programme”, says Eduarda Vaz. “The work of this mandate, in terms of the Acceleration Programme, the success of the last edition of TecStorm, and the growing proximity to entities of the entrepreneurial ecosystem”, also contributed to JUNITEC victory.

JUNITEC’s application to this award included the work that has been developed by the team, which “is enhanced by our origins and by the successive teams that made JUNITEC an entrepreneurial junior enterprise. This award also concerns the previous mandates: the startups we managed to launch and the successful entrepreneurs we were able to train”. The award comes in a very special date, the 30th anniversay of JUNITEC.

“The awards we received are displayed in our work room, and not inside a locker. They are a reminder of JUNITEC’s achievements and the way forward”, says the student.

Although important, the awards are not “the only proof of the value of JUNITEC”. “Our customers’ satisfaction and our members’ recognition” are also other examples. “Students of all ages and from different courses have to reconcile their intense studies with the various projects carried out at JUNITEC”, stresses the coordinator of JUNITEC Marketing department. “Being a member of JUNITEC requires great availability and organisational skills”.

“We always try to use cutting-edge technology in our our projects”, says Eduarda Vaz. JUNITEC organises training sessions on a permanent basis, which allows a great proximity with a wide contact network”, stresses the student.

JUNITEC is based on 3 pillars – “Learning, Innovation and Entrepreneurship”. According to Eduarda Vaz, “the biggest constribution of JUNITEC is to allow its members to develop these 3 skills” and to provide them the unique experience of approaching the professional ecosystem.
