In 2016, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) promotes the first edition of Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Award.
The award is intended to recognise and reward annually two women, graduated at Técnico:
i) a former student who has completed her studies at IST for over 15 years, by 31st December 2015, and who has made outstanding contributions throughout her professional career;
ii) a recently graduated from IST, under 27 years by 31st December 2015, whose Master’s thesis has been distinguished for its scientific quality and whose academic performance at IST has been remarkable.
Nominations for the former student i) may be submitted by any member of IST community, including alumni, until November 4, at 12 p.m. The nomination must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae of a maximum of one page (A4 paper format) and should be sent to premioMLP@tecnico.ulisboa.pt.
Applications for the Award to the recent graduate will take place on 25th November 2016, at 12 p.m. The winner will receive a €5000 award, sponsored by Baía do Tejo and Instituto Superior Técnico.
The winners of the first edition of Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Award will be announced on 6th December 2016, at IST (Salão Nobre), during the accession ceremony of IGEN Forum new membership. The award ceremony will be announced to the public in due course.
