Técnico Career Center showcased initiatives that help students shape their professional future

The informal presentation event – “Coffee with Career Center” – showcased programmes and opportunities at Alameda and Oeiras campi.

On 11 and 18 September, the Career Center promoted another edition of Coffee with Career Center, at Técnico – Alameda and Oeiras campi. The initiative invited students to explore the activities and programmes that the Career Center promotes throughout the academic year.

At Alameda campus, Luís Câmara, a Master’s student in Computer Science and Engineering, who had already participated in other Career Center initiatives such as the Talent Bootcamp, highlighted the importance of these moments, which he considers essential to better understanding the opportunities available — workshops, company sessions, as well as the Alumni Network, which promotes the contact between Técnico alumni and the academic community.

The activities scheduled for this semester include a workshop series focused on entering the job market, company meetups with members of the Técnico Partner Network in the ‘Meet Up with a Company’ format, Alumni Talks and another edition of Talent Bootcamp@Técnico, scheduled for 21 and 22 November 2025. All these initiatives are organised by the Career Center, which also includes the Técnico Job Bank, an employment portal aimed at students, recent graduates and alumni who graduated less than two years ago, allowing them to regularly monitor opportunities available in the job market.

Diogo Borges and Duarte Cruz, 3rd-year Computer Science and Engineering students at Oeiras campus, became aware of the event by chance: “I was walking through the main hall and suddenly saw lots of people eating popcorn and a roulette wheel, so I decided to see what was going on — and here I am,” said Diogo. Among all the initiatives developed by the Career Center, the students pointed out internships as the most impactful for their CVs.
