For the fourth consecutive year, Técnico has secured the 2nd position in the ‘Brand Reputation in Portugal’ ranking within the Higher Education category. This result is awarded by the RepScore 2025 study conducted by the consultancy OnStrategy, which assesses the positioning and reputation of over two thousand brands among the Portuguese population annually.
In addition to Técnico, four other ULisboa schools are ranked in the top 10 higher education institutions for reputation: the Faculty of Law (FDUL) in 5th place, the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG) in 6th place, the Faculty of Sciences (FCUL) in 8th place, and the School of Agriculture (ISA) in 10th place.
The analysis is based on a methodology that combines two complementary dimensions: a qualitative component centred on spontaneous perceptions of brand positioning, and a quantitative component, which measures reputation in an induced manner. The assessment focuses on emotional indicators – such as notoriety, trust, consideration, preference, recommendation and admiration – and rational ones like innovation, ethics, social responsibility, leadership, working environment and overall performance.
Since 2009, OnStrategy has promoted the RepScore study, which is internationally certified for financial and strategic brand evaluation. The analysis relies on a representative sample of the Portuguese population, taking into account factors such as geographical distribution, gender, age, and education level.
