Instituto Superior Técnico provides its academic community – professors, researchers, students and staff – with access to IAedu, a national platform that brings together different Artificial Intelligence models in a single portal.

It includes simplified data analysis, the creation of educational content, support for research projects and the automation of administrative tasks. The platform also enables the creation of customised agents, facilitating communication between systems and adaptation to different contexts of teaching, research and academic management.

The platform ensures data protection, guaranteeing that inputs and outputs are not used to train other models and maintaining the security levels applied to institutional documents. Each user can select the most appropriate model for each task, directing the search for different purposes.

Developed by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through the FCCN digital services unit, IAedu’s mission is to democratise access to Artificial Intelligence in Portugal, offering centralised, secure and unlimited access to large-scale language models.
