The Técnico student Miguel Loff Barreto (Integrated MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering) was the winner of the 2nd edition of the Best Thesis Awards, in the Information Technologies (IT) category, for his MSc thesis “Provision of Multiuser 360º Video Streaming over MEC-enabled 5G Networks”.

The Best Thesis Award was launched in 2021, under the partnership between the Consortium of Portuguese Schools of Engineering (CEE) and the Portuguese Association for the Development of Communications (APDC), and aims to recognise the best master thesis in the fields of information technologies, telecommunications and media.
