On November 6, the Técnico students Luís Parra (Electrical and Computer Engineering degree) and Pedro Ramos (Computer Science Engineering Master’s degree), and the Técnico alumnus Frederico Araújo (Biomedical Engineering) received an Honourable Mention at ETHGlobal, the largest blockchain hackathon in the world, held in San Francisco.
The competition brought together more than 1700 participants from all over the world, including universities such as Yale, Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard and MIT. The project developed by the Técnico students consisted of a system that uses Game Theory to ensure the best possible result in P2P (Peer-to-Peer) monetary transactions.
