A team of 4 Técnico students (MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management) won the last European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) competition, organised by BEST (Board of European Students of Technology).

The students André Ferreira, João Marcos, José Santos and Pedro Carvalho won the general final of the competition, as well as 3 of the 4 case studies presented by the team.

The four case studies presented by the team covered areas such as the EU global warming in 2080, climate neutrality and greenhouse gas emissions in Madrid by 2050, plastic waste removal from the oceans, and also the case study “An improved information system at Barajas Airport”.
