This international programme is aimed at PhD students and early-career researchers and will take place from 26 to 28 May.

Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) will provide six positions for Unite! Widening Training @UPC 2026, which will take place from 26 to 28 May, in Barcelona. As part of the Unite! Widening project, this training is aimed at PhD students and early-career researchers from ULisboa’s schools, which include Instituto Superior Técnico.

Organised by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a member of the Unite! Alliance, the programme offers training in key areas of contemporary research, such as transparency practices and open science, promoting gender balance in academia, and managing cultural diversity in international teams.

The six vacancies reserved for members of ULisboa include meals and social activities, though prior registration is required and a process of selection will take place until 20 April 2026.

Coordinated by Fátima Montemor, a professor at Técnico, the Unite! Widening project aims to “develop joint yet distinctive initiatives that will enhance the quality of research and innovation activities at ULisboa’s schools”, strengthening collaboration between institutions and promoting new approaches to research within the European context.
