The Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP) is pleased to announce the 2025 edition of the Summer Internship Program for physics, engineering and science students.
In 2025, as usual, the internships will start in June and end in September. The detailed program will be announced soon.
Registration for the 2025 edition is open until 11 May.
The program offers practical experience in research projects in LIP’s various scientific groups, lasting between two weeks and two months. It also includes:
- A week of introductory lectures on particle physics, astroparticles, detectors and experimental methods;
- Practical tutorials on computer tools for analysing data;
- A final workshop where the trainees present the results of their work;
- The possibility of writing a final paper summarising the work carried out.
The previous edition brought together more than 60 students who participated in 30 different projects, covering areas such as fundamental physics, data analysis, instrumentation and advanced technologies.
