Pharma Industry @ University 2026 lectures are open for registration

Over six weeks, the Técnico community will have the opportunity to attend lectures on business leadership, cell and gene therapies, artificial intelligence in rare diseases, pharmaceutical production chains and career paths in the industry.

This semester, the ‘Manufacturing of Biopharmaceuticals’ and ‘Pharmaceutical Engineering I’ curricular units in the Department of Bioengineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, will welcome CEOs, global directors and leading experts from the pharmaceutical industry as part of the Pharma Industry @ University initiative — a partnership with GenH, a company based in Basel, Switzerland.

Over six weeks, the Técnico community will have the opportunity to attend lectures on business leadership, cell and gene therapies, artificial intelligence in rare diseases, pharmaceutical production chains and career paths in the industry.

The sessions are led by professionals currently holding senior positions in the sector’s largest companies at both global and national levels.

The programme was designed by Daniel Guedelha, a Técnico alumnus, founder of GenH and guest lecturer for these curricular units. With 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry — including at Novartis — he describes this initiative as “a unique opportunity to learn directly from those who are shaping the future of global healthcare”.

The lectures are open to all students, researchers and professors at Técnico. Places are available in addition to those reserved for students enrolled in the course — places are limited.
