The interdisciplinary training course “Artificial Intelligence – Law and Practice” explores the new European AI Regulation (Reg AI), training professionals to face the legal, technical and ethical challenges of artificial intelligence in an organisational context.
The European Union’s Artificial Intelligence Regulation (Reg AI) was published in 2024, and the implementation schedule began on 2 February 2025, with most of its regime applicable from 2 August 2026.
Companies and other organisations, public and private, that develop or use artificial intelligence (AI) systems need to prepare themselves to integrate the new requirements into their operations, so that they can maximise the potential of these technologies and minimise their risks, including regulatory compliance risks.
Continuing the work developed since 2018 by the Law and AI Research Group at Católica Research Centre for the Future of Law, Instituto Superior Técnico, through Técnico+, in partnership with the Lisbon School of Law at Católica (via Católica Next) and the Abreu Advogados Knowledge Institute (IdC), presents the training course “Artificial Intelligence – Law and Practice”.
