The call for applications for PhD scholarships within the scope of the European University Unite! is open until 20 December 2025, under the existing partnership protocol between the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the University of Lisbon (ULisboa).
ULisboa will award a total of 30 PhD scholarships, distributed across the following priority areas, without prejudice to other scientific fields foreseen in the applicable regulations:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Energy – Batteries
- Hydrogen and Smart Cities
- Industry 4.0
The application process follows the rules defined by ULisboa and FCT, which set out the requirements, eligible scientific areas and the jury responsible for evaluation. Selected candidates must enrol in a doctoral programme offered by ULisboa Schools, including Instituto Superior Técnico, in accordance with the academic calendar in force.
