Applications are now open for the Unite! Seed Fund 2025. This fund supports innovative, co-creative, and collaborative ideas developed by professors, researchers, and students from the Unite! alliance partner universities. Instituto Superior Técnico, part of the University of Lisbon, is a member of this alliance.
The submission of proposals must involve at least three Unite! universities (or two, in the case of proposals submitted by students) and address Unite!’s focus areas: Sustainable Energy, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Entrepreneurship, Engineering Biology and Biotechnology, Space, Cybersecurity, Sustainable Cities and Water.
To support international partnerships and joint proposals, virtual matchmaking events will be organised to help participants find partners for their projects. Applications include three categories:
- Student Activities (the deadline for contacting Unite! Student Liaison Officer in each university is 6 March) – virtual matchmaking event: 11 February, 14:00 – 16:00 CET
- Teaching and Learning – virtual matchmaking event: 12 February, 14:00 – 16:00 CET
- Research and PhD – virtual matchmaking event: 14 February, 13:00 – 15:00 CET
The deadline for all submissions is 20 March 2025. Interested parties must ensure that their proposals are submitted by this date to be considered for funding.
Instituto Superior Técnico has a strong presence in multiple projects within the Unite! alliance, actively contributing to the advancement of interdisciplinary initiatives. Its activities include strengthening PhD education and developing essential skills for versatile engineers of the future, as well as promoting international collaboration within the Unite! partner universities.
