The Social Merit Scholarships are an initiative within the social responsibility of Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) to support students who are in situations of proven economic failure, and aims to combat school failure and dropout, as well as to encourage their participation in training activities in the academic and social areas.

Eligible students: all ULisboa students enrolled and registered in the cycle of studies leading to a master’s degree in the areas of education or science communication, with a bachelor’s degree in the area of sciences, who do not benefit from any other type of scholarship for higher education students and whose annual per capita income, or that of the household, cannot exceed 15 (fifteen) times the Social Support Index (IAS) in force at the time of the application (480.43€ – four hundred and eighty euros and forty-three cents).

The call is open between 13 November and 24:00 (Lisbon time) on 24 November 2023. Applications must be submitted to the e-mail candidaturas.rh@reitoria.ulisboa.pt.
