«The Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, will host the 1st International Conference on Decarbonising Waterborne Transportation — DEWATRA on 25 and 26 May 2026, at Técnico – Alameda Campus (Congress Centre), in Lisbon.
Organised by the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC), the conference will bring together researchers, maritime industry professionals and policymakers to discuss solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in maritime and inland waterborne transportation.
The event will address topics such as alternative fuels, energy efficiency, renewable energy, atmospheric emissions from shipping and onboard decision-support systems.
The event is promoted within the scope of the COST Action DeWaTra, but it is open to participants beyond this network who are working on any aspect of decarbonising waterborne transportation.»
