«The finalists of the “3-Minute Thesis” competition have been chosen. The final competition will take place on June 6th, at 5 p.m., in the National Museum of Natural History and Science of Universidade de Lisboa.

In 2024, Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) promotes the 2nd edition of the “3-Minute Thesis” competition challenging its PhD students to explain the impact of their research to a non-specialist audience, in just three minutes and using a single slide.

The final competition will take place in the National Museum of Natural History and Science, where the 12 finalists will present their “3-Minute Thesis” before the jury and the public. The jury is composed of experts from the different ULisboa Schools.

The first-place winner receives a prize of €5,000, the second-place winner €2,000 and the third-place winner €1,000.»
