«The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is organising the 3rd International Conference on ‘Applications of Radiation Science and Technology’ (ICARST-2025), which will take place from 7th to 11th April 2025 in Vienna, Austria.
The event, which has researchers from the C2TN – Centro de Ciências e Tecnologias Nucleares, Sandra Cabo Verde and Luís Ferreira, on its Scientific Committee, will bring together experts from academia and industry to discuss the latest advances in radiation science and their impact on various areas, such as the production of advanced materials, environmental monitoring, medical sterilisation, the conservation of cultural heritage and the development of clean and sustainable technologies.
ICARST-2025’ will be conducted in English and will provide a unique platform for:
- Analysing the latest developments in radiation science and technology;
- Evaluate national and global initiatives in the implementation of sustainable industrial applications;
- Promote new collaborations between scientists, engineers, policy makers and industry representatives;
- Define strategies for the adoption of innovative technologies in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Target audience: Scientists, engineers, technologists, regulators, entrepreneurs, radiation facility operators, safety experts and all parties interested in the application of radiation science.»
