«The Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, through the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC), and the Ordem dos Engenheiros will organise the 8th International Conference on Maritime Technology and Engineering (MARTECH 2026), which will take place from 27 to 29 May 2026 at the Técnico Congress Centre in Lisbon.

The conference continues the legacy of the National Conferences in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, first launched in 1987, bringing together specialists, researchers and professionals from the national and international maritime sector.

MARTECH 2026 will be held in parallel with the National Conference on Maritime Engineering and Technology. The programme will cover topics such as ship design, ship operation, shipbuilding and repair, maritime transportation and ports, fishing and aquaculture, offshore energy resources, military and surveillance vessels, recreational craft and maritime tourism.»
