On 17th and 18th March, Instituto Superior Técnico will host another local round of the biggest European engineering competition.
The European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) Challenge is an international project that aims to offer students, from Science and Technology areas, the opportunity to put into practice the theoretical knowledge acquired at the university, challenging them to solve interdisciplinary problems.
The challenges are divided into two categories: Case Study and Team Design. In both categories the participants will have 24 hours to solve challenges and create prototypes.
The participating teams, composed of 4 students, will have the opportunity to develop both technical and theoretical skills and team work skills, as well as to feel the competitive and friendly spirit among all the teams.
Engineering competitions have been part of BEST’s spirit since 2002. These competitions began to be organised in Portugal by BEST Lisbon in 2004. EBEC challenge is part of EBEC (European BEST Engineering Competition), whose 1st edition will be held in Portugal, Spain, Germany, Italy and Romania.
