«BioPic Day 2026 is an event organised by the Department of Bioengineering (DBE) at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, and will take place on 9 June 9 at the Técnico Innovation Center powered by Fidelidade.
This initiative aims to celebrate and recognise the journey and work developed by 3rd-year students of the Biomedical Engineering and Biological Engineering undergraduate programmes within the scope of the 1st cycle Course Integrative Projects (PICs) of DBE.
The afternoon session (2.30 p.m. – 5 p.m.) is open to all interested participants. The programme includes a presentation session of Pedagogical Innovation Projects (PIP) in the DBE and a panel discussion on Bioengineering, Health, Industry, and National and European Funding. The panel will be moderated by Professors Susana Vinga and Frederico Ferreira and will include the participation of Dr. Francisca Leite (Executive Director of Hospital da Luz), Dr. Marta Candeias (Head of the Research and Innovation Project Support Office at IST-ID), Professor Paula Videira (Director of the i4HB Associated Laboratory) and Dr. Tiago Matos (Assistant Professor at DBE).»
