«The Fundação Oriente, the Institute for Prospective Studies and the Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research at Técnico (IN+/IST) are pleased to announce the launch of the book “Pelo Sonho É Que Vamos: Chegamos? Não Chegamos? 30 Anos dos Encontros de Prospectiva da Arrábida, 1992-2022”.

This book includes essays and reflections that have resulted from the annual Arrábida Prospective Meetings since 1992, which aim to analyse their impact on Portugal’s development. The texts preserve and enhance the matrix of the Arrábida Prospective Meetings, without disseminating their content and focusing only on their impact.

The Arrábida Prospective Meetings were launched and coordinated by José Mariano Gago (1948-2015) until 2014. Since then, the organisation and coordination have been assumed by Manuel Heitor.

The aim is to stimulate prospective analysis in Portugal and guarantee an annual space for critical and open reflection on structuring issues for the country’s development.»
