The book “À descoberta dos Fósseis em Portugal: Breves referências a alguns dos mais interessantes registos fossilíferos encontrados no nosso país” by Manuel Lima (Técnico alumnus) will be presented at Décio Thadeu Museum – IST Alameda campus.

The book will be presented on 9th January, at 17:00. Manuel Lima will give a lecture titled “Das Trilobites aos Seres Humanos, 500 milhões de anos de Geistória”.

The autograph session will take place at the end of the event.

Attendance is free.

Venue: Décio Thadeu Museum – Mining Engineering building.

Author’s biography:
Manuel Lima was born in Almada, in 1954. He began his academic career at Instituto Superior Técnico, where he attended the Civil Engineering course until the 4th year. In the Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon, he studied geology, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree. Later, he obtained a degree in Education at the Jean Piaget Institute, having pursued his teaching career in the area of Natural Sciences at various schools in the municipalities of Almada and Seixal. Manuel Lima, from 1985 to 2000, was a technician of the Seixal Municipal Ecomuseum in the area of Natural Heritage and from 2000 to
2005 was a technician of the Education Division of the Seixal City Council. For the past seven years, Manuel Lima has been teaching at the Senior University of Seixal, where he teaches the discipline of Historical and Natural Heritage.
