“Women in Tecnico – Women in Engineering”
Guest speaker: professor Isabel Ribeiro.
This session will discuss strategies for women to be inspired and encourage other women to expand diversity in areas such as Engineering, commonly with a greater presence of men. Relevant issues on women’s freedom of professional activity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) will also be discussed.

Framework of the initiative
- BrainStorms@Técnico consists of monthly talks online with various mental health professionals and other guests. Each session will have a specific theme and a guest speaker, specialist in the area, who will discuss and present solutions related to the issue in question. Throughout the conversation, there will be a place for the participants to interact with the speaker, asking questions through the chat in the virtual room.
- This initiative is promoted by the Técnico Student Club on Mental Health and Inclusion, in collaboration with the Academic Development Unit (NDA). We are developing activities that focus on these important issues, creating a space for mutual help and communion within the IST community.
