The Centro de Ciências e Tecnologias Nucleares (C2TN) will host a workshop dedicated to the cutting-edge research and innovation developed at this Técnico research unit. The aim is to promote debate, exchange experiences, network with leading experts, and gain insights into how science impacts society.
What to expect from the event?
Presentations of research work organised along three thematic lines that address critical societal challenges:
- Advanced Materials – advances in the understanding of the relation between structure/composition/processing and physical properties to drive sustainable development through materials with improved properties for applications, like sensors, electronics, energy conversion and biomaterials;
- Radiopharmaceutical Sciences and Health Physics – developments on the application of ionising radiation in human health: theranostics and personalised medicine, medical radiation safety and dosimetry;
- Earth Systems, Radioactivity and Cultural Heritage – innovative contributions to environmental sustainability, climate change and preservation of cultural heritage.
