«On 29 October, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Sustainability Unit at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, in partnership with URBEM, is organising another monthly workshop at the Técnico Mini Forest, a growing green space on the Alameda Campus dedicated to ecological regeneration and biodiversity.
This time, the focus is on a carpentry workshop to provide the mini forest with street furniture to create spaces for relaxation and leisure.
The carpentry workshop will therefore allow participants to get stuck in, contributing directly to making this space richer and more welcoming for the whole community to enjoy.
During the session, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Build street furniture using wooden structures: Work together to create elements that enhance the space, such as street furniture (benches, tables), for leisure and socialising (outdoor seating and reading areas).
- Try out simple tools and methods, applied to a real project that benefits the community.
This is another fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and play a direct part in developing biodiversity on the campus.»
