«On 7 May, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Técnico will host a co-creation workshop organised in partnership with Brisa and the ISTartLab team.
This initiative invites students and young professionals to collaborate with experts in the fields of engineering, mobility, and sustainability to develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges faced on Portuguese highways.
During this hands-on and collaborative session, participants will work in teams to explore five key thematic areas:
- Infrastructure Maintenance: improving efficiency in detecting and anticipating anomalies in pavements, bridges, and other road assets;
- Tolling and Operations: minimising delays in e-toll customer service;
- Environmental Sustainability: developing strategies to reduce the environmental impact of mobility;
- Road Safety: identifying more effective ways to alert drivers to road issues;
- Operational Team Management: designing new approaches for quick and effective responses to accidents or roadblocks.
The workshop aims to create a space where academic knowledge meets professional experience, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and the practical application of skills in a real-world context.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of mobility in Portugal, alongside some of the sector’s key players.»
