«ElectroDay is the major showcase of the ElectroCap Programme, an initiative by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa.

This event marks the culmination of the First Cycle Integrative Project (PIC1) curricular unit, in which final-year undergraduate students apply the knowledge acquired throughout their academic journey to solve real-world problems and challenges.

More than just a tech fair, this programme challenges students to develop three essential skills for their future: the ability to use technology to solve problems, the spirit of innovation to create value, and the art of communicating their processes and results with clarity.

Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through the project fair, to interact directly with the teams and to see the results of their work up close. Each team will be there to:

  • Present a detailed poster on the concept and development of their project;
  • Give a live demonstration of the functional prototype they designed and built.

In addition to the general public, the event will host external evaluators who will analyse the technical rigour and impact of the solutions presented.

Become an “Innovation Investor” (How the voting works)

ElectroDay visitors have the power to help choose the best projects at the fair. Admission is completely free, but registration is required in order to vote.

By securing your ticket, you transform into a tech investor with a fictional budget to support our students’ talent:

  1. Each visitor receives 3,000 ElectroCoins (the official currency of the event);
  2. You must choose your 3 favorite projects;
  3. Your vote will be cast by investing 1,000 ElectroCoins into each of those 3 projects (the amount cannot be divided in any other way).»
