The event “A Academia a pedalar – Desafios e Oportunidades” will take place on May 2, at the rectory of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, aiming to disseminate the U-Bike Portugal project.
U-Bike Portugal is a mobility project that encourages the daily use of bicycles as an alternative means of transport.
This project aims to reduce primary energy consumption and CO2 emissions. On this assumption it is intended to actively promote the use of bikes near the academic communities.
15 Higher Education institutions will give their students, faculty and staff the opportunity to rent a bike. Cycling infrastructures will be improved, making it a competitive means of transport.
