Explain it like I’m 5 – Rogério Colaço

How can we build increasingly tall buildings?

How can we tell what material something is made of at a glance? Why do we use the names of some materials to classify ages – stone, bronze, metal? What are the different types of materials?

On Saturday, 22nd May, at 11:00, Rogério Colaço, researcher at the Mechanical Engineering Institute (IDMEC) and IST president, will go live on Técnico Facebook to answer these questions.

Please send us your questions ahead of time to explicame@tecnico.ulisboa.pt or join us live on Facebook.

ABOUT THE TALKS
Explain it like I’m 5 – talks at Técnico for children and other curious people of all ages” is designed for young people, opening a door to get to know Técnico research and to ask our scientists a question- even at a distance. Older people can come as well, if the children let them.

On Saturdays live on Facebook. The talks can be watched later.
