Técnico and FMH will organise the Fall-in-Age – Multiplier Event 1 – Portugal (ME1), on 13th February 2020, from 9:00 to 13:00.
The “Fall-in-Age” project is funded by ERASMUS+ and aims at the development and implementation of an open online course for students, experts and professionals of healthcare. The course focuses on the application of biomechanical technologies for the assessment and treatment of frailty and reduction of the number of falls in elderly people.
The event will be dedicated to the presentation of the project “Fall-in-Age project Innovative Training for Technology-based Frailty and Falls Management”, that results from a consortium between Técnico (ULisboa) and FMH (ULisboa), Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV), Istituto Nazionale di Riposo e Cura per Anziani (INRCA) and European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN).
A discussion panel on the topic “The role of technology on the assessment of frailty and falls risk. Where are we?” will take place afterwards, as well as the workshop “Solutions for evaluation of frailty and falls risk developed by the project partners”.
At the end, the project coordinator, professor Miguel Tavares da Silva (IST-DEM/IDMEC), will moderate a debate.
Attendance is free but requires prior registration.
Venue: ULisboa Incubator auditorium.
