Técnico has been developing a strategy to promote the creation of value among all its academic community, investing on innovation and entrepreneurship as a catalyst of technology transfer and enhancing the research and training carried out at Técnico.
Students, researchers and faculty will be the main wealth generators once the knowledge and skills acquired at Técnico are a valuable input and have been playing an important role in an increasingly global and competitive market.
In this context and bearing in mind the importance of creating a framework to promote innovation, Técnico created TecInnov whose 1st edition is now disclosed, counting on the support of Thales Portugal, a member of Técnico Partner Network.
An information session on TecInnov – 1st edition Thales 2017 will take place on April 18, at 10.30 a.m., in GA1 amphitheatre.
Important information:
• Submission of applications: from 5th of April 2017 until 4 p.m. to 21st April 2017.
• Support: Maximum value of € 5.000 per project, in a total amount of €20.000.
• Target audience: teams composed primarily of members from IST academic community (students, faculty and researchers).
• Topics: Decision support, big data (namely in Transport), user interface (collection and distribution of information), sensors (transports, people, security, etc.), crowd monitoring, transport guidance (including passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility), transport scene interpretation.
• Applications: The application form should be sent by email to pe@tecnico.ulisboa.pt or delivered by hand at the Technology Transfer office.
