On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Ponte 25 de Abril, the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Georesources and FUNDEC – Association for Training and Development of Civil Engineering and Architecture will organise on October 19, a session with two lectures on this topic. The session will be held in Salão Nobre (Técnico – Alameda Campus) at 5.30 p.m.

Professor António Reis will give the lecture “50 anos da Ponte 25 de Abril” – Structural solutions and its evolution. Professor Jorge B. Silva will give the lecture “50 anos da Ponte 25 de Abril” – Impacts on soil occupation.

This event is free and aims to inform about structural solutions and its evolution, as well as the main impacts of this important infrastructure in Lisbon’s Metropolitan Area.

In the end, the awards for the best students of integrated masters in Civil Engineering and Architecture in 2015/2016 will be delivered: award Professor Alberto Abecassis Manzanares (Hydraulics, Environment and Water Resources); award João Arménio Correia Martins (Structural Mechanics and Structures); award Architect Álvaro Machado (Architecture).
