John E. Williamson (VR producer/designer project manager, SAIC, Seattle, EUA) will give the lecture “Psychology of Game Design” on 23rd April, at 11 a.m., under the partnership between Técnico and the US embassy in Portugal – IST American Corner.
Abstract:
How do game companies manipulate you into spending more money just by their menu design? How can you make your game characters more attractive? What is in a great game that makes us say “just one more round?” Is there a link between violent video games and violence? (Spoiler alert: no) All of these questions and more will be addressed in this lecture.
