Several IT functionalities were created within the scope of this project, two of which will be announced in this session: a database of jurisprudential rulings, which will promote transparency and improve access to decisions, and a ruling anonymisation tool that will be made available to all courts through a protocol with the Superior Council of the Judiciary.

The IRIS project is an initiative of the Supreme Court of Justice that has been developed since 2020, involving researchers and professors from Técnico and ISCTE-IUL – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. The team members attending this session are Prof. Ricardo Ribeiro, from ISCTE-IUL, and Professors Flávio Martins, Daniel Gonçalves and José Borbinha, from Técnico.

This project is funded by COMPETE 2020 and by the European Social Fund.»
