«A presentation session on the project to create a mini-forest in the green space of the Interdisciplinary Building, at Técnico – Alameda Campus, will be held on 1 October, at 4 p.m.
The event will take place at the Civil Engineering Museum, where the official presentation of the project will be made, followed by a visit to the space where the mini-forest will be implemented.
This initiative, promoted by the Sustainability Center at Técnico in partnership with Urbem – Community, Nature, Connection, aims to promote the Miyawaki method, present inspiring cases already implemented in Portugal, and involve the community in the co-creation, planting, and maintenance of the forest over three years.
The project reinforces the commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations (UN), promoting biodiversity, climate action, and the connection between people and nature.»
