ROB 9-16 is a pioneer project of Instituto Superior Técnico that started in 2014/2015 and it’s intended for children and young people from 9 to 16 years old.
Based at Taguspark campus, ROB 9-16 carries out regular sessions on Saturdays during school time. During the holidays the sessions are held in week days.
ROB 9-16 is promoted by IST students who teach coding, electronics, telecommunications and mechanical prototyping. Contents are presented in ways appropriate to the age of participants. ROB 9-16 initiatives saw extensive participation by students since the beginning, generating a very positive feedback from the participants and their parents. ROB 9-16 will run from 18th to 22nd December and is intended for 2nd and 3rd cycle students (basic education).
During the week, participants will learn how to make robots and programme computers, welding and assembling electronic circuits and 3D printing.
