«The NFIST‘s Astronomy section ASTRO presents a roundtable with some of the best researchers in Portugal on Astrobiology – The science that studies life, its origin, nature and evolution in the Universe.

The event aims to be a point of contact with an area of interest and an opportunity to better understand the great problem that is the explanation of the origin of life and where to find it.

Speakers

  • Zita Martins, Associate Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico;
  • André Antunes, Associate Professor at the University of Science and Technology of Macau;
  • Pedro Mota Machado, Researcher at the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences;
  • João Lin Yun, Professor at the Physics Department of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon;
  • Joana Neto Lima, Master’s student in Education – Teaching Biology and Geology in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education at the University of Minho.

Moderator: Professor Carlos Fiolhais.
