«As part of the 28th edition of Physics Week, running from 5 to 9 May, the Physics Students’ Organisation at Instituto Superior Técnico (NFIST), with the support of the Portuguese Navy, is pleased to announce “Physics Adrift” — a weekend-long public outreach initiative taking place at the Planetário de Marinha, in Belém, as follows:

• 10 May: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
• 11 May: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

On 10 and 11 May, NFIST will take science beyond the campus and into the heart of the city, transforming the entrance of the Planetarium into an open-air exhibition of hands-on experiments and interactive physics demonstrations. The goal is to make physics more accessible to the general public, showcasing its many fields through engaging and captivating activities for all ages.

Alongside the exhibitions, visitors will also have the chance to attend astronomy sessions organised by the Planetário de Marinha, creating a full weekend of discovery, learning, and cosmic wonder.»
