On International Day of Women and Girls in Science, celebrated on 11 February, the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP), a research unit affiliated with Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, will promote an open online session at 2.30 p.m. (WET) dedicated to reflection on science, technology and gender equality.

The session will include researchers from the Social Physics and Complexity (SPAC) group and is a result of collaboration with the Union of Physicists from Portuguese-speaking Countries (UFPLP).

The meeting aims to create a space for informal and participatory conversation about the current challenges of diversity in science, including the impact of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

The event is open to the public, with space for questions and the exchange of ideas.
